April 2006: Anatolia
April 2006Photos from our tour around the inland regions of Anatolia. Also know as Asia Minor or perhaps more commonly Turkey.
Our tour started in Antalya. We traveled over the snow capped mountains to Konya. Konya is where we learned about the order of the "Dervishes". We were very privileged to witness an evening of worship with the, so-called "Dancing Dervishes". Unfortunately, photography was not permitted.
We then traveled further inland towards the extinct volcanic region and learned about the early Christian cave dwellers as well as the history of the Turk people.
This was an very educational tour through a land which bridges Europe and Asia.
