Bregenz Festspiel

The floating stage, anchored at Bregenz (Austria), presents some of the most lavish and spectacular Operas in the world. 

Becuse of the weather, the Opera performances run during the summer for two years only.

After the two year performance is complete, the stage, on Lake Constance (Bodensee), is completely dismantled and rebuilt for the next Opera.

We have seen two Operas there, Il Trovatore and Toska.  We are currently contemplating our next visit to the 2009 performance of Aida.
